Baby Boy is Here!

At long last, I am thrilled to introduce my son, Cameron Matthew. Cameron arrived on April 27 at 1:33am after 8.5 hours of labor. He weighed 8 lbs, 9 oz, and is 20 inches long.

I am living in bliss—really.

  6. Mel & M -- Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy! I've tried to comment a few times the past ~month but every time my comments got erased when I pressed "post," and I didn't have the patience to re-write (or the foresight to "copy" before I tried to post...). I am so happy for you and wish you and your family the most joy (and patience) during these early days.

    We welcomed a baby girl -- April Elizabeth -- on April 15th by scheduled Cesarean. She was persistent breech and we tried every "turning" technique we felt comfortable with until we realized the surgery was the best option. That was OUR first primer in parenting! We were still able to use our Bradley techniques to help me relax before the procedure (because I have a very strong fear of needles, surgery, etc) and in the end I would do it all over again.

    Hope you are enjoying the happy moments and surviving the less blissful ones with sanity + sense of humor intact... easier said than done! x0x0
